We are getting so excited about our Summer at the Schoolhouse program this year! Once again, we will offer 5 sessions with a maximum class size of 20 students. Cost is $70 per child, and $65 for members of the Friends of the Cedar Falls Historical Society. Registration is first come, first served. The sessions are June 16-20, June 23-27, July 14-18, July 21-25, and July 28-August 1. Class runs from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. each day.
The 2025 exhibit at the Victorian House is called “Alphabetical Artifacts.” We will incorporate that topic into our Summer at the Schoolhouse program with the theme “The Museum of Alphabets.” We will explore a variety of alphabets and artifacts, learn about museums and museum collections, make a “Museum of Me,” visit the Alphabetical Artifacts exhibit at the Victorian House Museum, and more. We will also do some interesting science experiments, make fun crafts, and OF COURSE we will practice writing with ink pens, use slates, play games, and make homemade ice cream, too!
Please put our Friday program (11:00 am) on your calendars! We will follow with an ice cream social outside! More details for parents and/or guardians:
Please send a healthy lunch Monday through Thursday, and a snack for Friday. We usually eat lunch outside.
Please, no flip-flops! And please, no cell phones!
Please sign your child in and out each day!
Each child will get a Summer at the Schoolhouse t-shirt. When ordering, if you aren’t certain of the size, choose the size larger than what your child wears now.
We will send a confirmation e-mail once registration is complete, and will mail a letter with more details the week before your child’s session starts.
Please note: no refunds will be issued after the Friday two weeks before the start of your child/ren’s session.
